MinnesotaTrader.com is a classified advertising site for the Citizens of Minnesota. It is part of the Trader Websites network operated by Electronic Creations Corporation. By creating an account, posting an ad, or using the site, you agree to these terms. This page is a working policy for the service. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
The Service
We provide space to publish short classified ads and to browse ads posted by others. We are not a party to any sale, hire, or other deal between a buyer and a seller. We do not inspect items, transfer money between users, hold funds, or guarantee that an ad is accurate or that a person will complete a transaction. Meet in a public place and inspect the item before you pay.
Accounts
You need an account to post. You must be 18 or older. Use a real email address you control. You are responsible for activity on that account. Keep the password to yourself. You may delete the account from My Account. That removes the account and its ads, photos, and messages from this site, and it cannot be undone. We may also close an account that is used for spam, fraud, or other abuse.
Listing Fees
Publishing an ad uses the fee shown at checkout. The first 50 ads published on a site are free for 30 days. The next 50 are $2.99 for 30 days. After that, a new ad is $4.99 for 30 days. Renewals are $4.99. Prices and these limits can change. The amount charged is the amount displayed when you publish.
Fees are processed by Stripe. A paid ad stays live until its expiration date unless we remove it for a terms violation. Listing fees are not refunded once the ad is published or renewed, including if you later delete the ad or the account. Stripe keeps its own record of the charge. If checkout fails or Stripe reports an incomplete payment, the ad stays a draft and is not shown on Browse.
Your Ads and Photos
You keep ownership of the text and photos you upload. You give MinnesotaTrader.com a license to store, display, and resize them so the ad can run on this site and the related Trader domains. You must have the right to use every photo you upload.
Ads must be truthful enough for a reader to understand what is offered. The city field may suggest names from a state list; picking a city does not verify that you are there. Your seller name and Seller number appear on the public listing. Put a phone number in the ad only if you want it public. Do not post another person’s private information.
Email Seller
A buyer may send a note through Email Seller without creating an account. That note is stored for the seller and emailed to the address on the seller’s account. Reply-To on that email is the buyer’s address so the seller can answer by email. MinnesotaTrader.com is not part of that conversation and does not guarantee a reply.
What You May Not Post
- Anything illegal to sell or advertise in the United States or in Minnesota.
- Content that sexually exploits a minor, or any sexual content involving a person under 18.
- Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or listings whose main purpose is fraud.
- Malware, phishing, or ads that exist only to send traffic to a scam.
- Threats, harassment, or content posted only to harm another person.
We may refuse, edit, expire, or remove an ad, or close an account, when we believe these rules were broken. We are not obligated to monitor every listing in advance.
Amazon Product Cards
Until a section has enough live classifieds, the page may show Amazon product cards. Those cards are advertising. As an Amazon Associate, MinnesotaTrader.com earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon is responsible for its own checkout, shipping, and product pages.
Acceptable Use of the Site
Do not scrape, harvest, republish, or frame the directory without written permission. Do not attempt to break into accounts, overload the server, or bypass payment. Automated posting is not allowed.
Disclaimer
The site is provided as available. Listings come from users. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, that a listing is accurate, or that a transaction will be completed. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Electronic Creations Corporation and MinnesotaTrader.com are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from use of the site or from a deal between users. Our total liability related to a listing fee is limited to the fee you paid for that listing.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
